D Chowk protest case, Aleema, Uzma Khan’s plea for physical remand and video playback rejected

Islamabad’s Anti-Terrorism Court has rejected PTI founder sisters Aleema and Uzma Khan’s plea for physical remand and video playback in the D Chowk protest case.

The judge while talking to the lawyers said that the court relied on the record of a USB. Did you give the USB to the police or the investigating officer? I extend physical remand, police check USB.

Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra rejected the request to play the footage on the USB in the courtroom.

Judge Tahir Abbas Supra asked the prosecutor Raja Naveed why do you wanted to remand. What did you recover from Alima Khan and Uzma Khan in 8 days?

The prosecutor said that more physical remand was needed to reach the entities that were conspired against, to recover gunpowder and explosives from Uzma Khan and Aleema Khan.

On the other hand, in the D Chowk protest case, Alima Khan and Uzma Khan filed a bail application in the Anti-Terrorism Court of Islamabad.

Duty Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra sought records from the prosecution on October 19.

The court called for arguments on the bail application of Alimah Khan and Uzma Khan on October 19.

When the police tried to take Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan out of the courtroom, there was a bitter exchange between the PTI lawyers and the policemen and there was a lot of noise on this occasion.
