Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has decided to provide plots to 3200 journalists and ordered immediate steps for Journalist Colony Lahore Phase 2.
According to ARY News, Information Minister Uzma Bukhari met with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, in which the Chief Minister decided to provide plots to 3200 journalists and asked the Ministry of Information to take immediate steps and expedite plots for Journalist Colony Lahore Phase 2. Orders were issued to fulfill all legal requirements at the earliest for early delivery.
Maryam Nawaz said that journalists and government are two wheels of a car. Journalists are not being favored by giving plots, it is their right. Journalists will be given plots after fulfilling the merit and legal requirements.
Meanwhile, in a statement issued by the Ministry of Information, Punjab, it has been said that apart from the Lahore Press Club, applications will also be invited from other journalists and an advertisement will be issued in the next few days.
