The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has received 942,000 new tax filers from July 1 to October 8, 2024.
According to FBR officials, more than 4 million 78 thousand people have submitted income tax returns till October 8.
In the same period last year, the authorities had collected 20 lakh 67 thousand returns, while this time the number of early filing has increased by 20 lakh 11 thousand.
According to FBR officials, more than 106 billion tax has been collected with the returns in the current financial year, 63 lakh 54 thousand returns were collected in the financial year 2023.
According to officials, 942,000 new filers registered from July 1 to October 8, compared to about 400,000 new filers registered in the same period last year.
