SCO meeting: No protest or lockdown will be allowed in Islamabad, Interior Ministry

Strict Instructions from the Ministry of Home Affairs have been circulated that no protest or lockdown will be allowed in Islamabad during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting.

During the SCO meeting, the Ministry of Home Affairs issued orders regarding foolproof security to the district administration.

The Ministry of Interior has written a letter to the Chief Commissioner Islamabad and the IG Police regarding the security of the federal capital.

The post has said that no illegal assembly is allowed within the limits of Islamabad, and there can be no protest or lockdown on the occasion of the SCO meeting.

The Ministry of Interior further said in the post that the Islamabad High Court issued orders to stop any protest or lockdown in Islamabad.

The Home Ministry also asked the district administration to take all possible measures for foolproof security during the SCO meeting.
