The Saudi investment delegation has arrived in Islamabad, and 30 agreements are expected to be signed.
The Saudi delegation has arrived in Islamabad to sign investment agreements with Pakistan. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will host a dinner in honor of the Saudi delegation at a private hotel tomorrow.
According to government sources, the high-level business delegation, led by Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid bin Abdulaziz, landed at Nur Khan Airbase, where they were welcomed by Commerce Minister Jam Kamal, Miftah Ismail, and other senior officials. The Saudi ambassador, Nawaf bin Saeed al-Maliki, was also present.
The delegation consists of 130 members and is expected to invest $2 billion in Pakistan. Agreements on trade and investment between the two countries will be signed.
The Prime Minister’s dinner for the Saudi delegation will include federal ministers. The delegation will visit the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park and meet with military officials tomorrow.
Sources indicated that ministerial-level roundtable meetings with the Saudi delegation are scheduled for the day after tomorrow. The delegation will also participate in plenary sessions, sectoral breakout sessions, and business-to-business sessions, involving officials from the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Information Technology, Ministry of Food Security, Communication Division, and Ministry of Petroleum.
It is noteworthy that representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Production and the services sector will also be included for investment discussions. The Ministry of Commerce claims that Saudi Arabia will make a total investment exceeding $5 billion by 2027, with nearly 30 agreements to be signed across various sectors for investment.
