Islamabad On the occasion of the annual Urs of Chishtiyya saint Khwaja Nizamuddin Auliya, the Indian High Commission has issued visas to 82 Pakistani pilgrims to participate in the five-day Urs celebrations, who left for Delhi via the Wagah border on Saturday.
Remember, every year Pakistani pilgrims have to wait patiently and face difficulties to get visas on the occasion of Urs and in the past, visas have been refused by the Indian High Commission on several occasions.
Pilgrims were in a similar situation till last week, but two days ago, all 82 pilgrims were directed to reach Lahore and visas have been issued today. Looking at the context of Shankar’s visit to Pakistan and calling it the first good news after the visit of the Indian Foreign Minister, he is also confirming the visit of the Indian cricket team to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy.
