Asia Cup 2025: Suryakumar Yadav Confident Ahead of High-Voltage India vs Pakistan Clash

The excitement is building as cricket fans gear up for the India vs Pakistan clash in the Asia Cup 2025, and Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav says his team is more than ready for the big challenge at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium this Sunday.

India couldn’t have asked for a better start to their campaign. The Men in Blue crushed United Arab Emirates (UAE) in their opening game, first bowling them out for just 57 runs in 13.1 overs before chasing the target in only 4.3 overs with nine wickets to spare.

It was a complete team effort led by Kuldeep Yadav, who picked up four wickets to dismantle the UAE batting order.

Speaking after the match, Suryakumar Yadav explained his decision to bowl first:

“Wanted to see how the wicket was playing. It was the same in the second innings. Clinical performance from the boys, we wanted good attitude and energy on the field and that’s what we got.”

The captain also credited his bowlers and praised the conditions knowledge gained during the recent ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025. He pointed out how spinners and all-rounders played a key role in the UAE heat, giving a special mention to Kuldeep Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, and Jasprit Bumrah.

Another standout was Abhishek Sharma, currently the No.1 ranked T20I batter in the world, who smashed quick runs to seal the chase inside five overs.

“He is the World No.1 for a reason; he sets the tone whether we’re chasing 200 or 50. Unbelievable from him. Everyone is excited for the game against Pakistan,” Yadav said.

With such a dominant performance, Team India now shifts focus to the high-voltage showdown against arch-rivals Pakistan, a fixture that never fails to capture the cricket world’s attention.
