Islamabad: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has predicted a continuous decrease in inflation in Pakistan.
In a report, the IMF has estimated the average inflation in Pakistan to be in single digits for 5 consecutive years.
The IMF has predicted that inflation will remain lower than the government’s target this fiscal year.
The IMF expects inflation in Pakistan to remain in the single-digit range of 9.5% in the current fiscal year.
It should be remembered that for the current financial year, the government has set an average inflation target of 12% in double digits.
According to the IMF, the average inflation in Pakistan is expected to be 7.8% in fiscal year 2025.26.
The IMF has estimated the average inflation in Pakistan for the fiscal year 2026.27 to be 6.5 percent. IMF has also predicted the average inflation to be 6.5 percent in the fiscal years 2027.28 and 2028.29.
