ISLAMABAD: Pakistan made a strong impression at the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2025, one of the world’s largest tourism exhibitions. The event began at the ExCel Exhibition Centre, London, attracting global tourism professionals, investors, and media.

The Pakistan Pavilion opened with a colorful ceremony attended by dignitaries and international guests. A 32-member delegation from Pakistan represented both public and private sectors. The team was led by Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, Prime Minister’s Coordinator on Tourism.

The delegation included Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Minister for Culture, Tourism & Antiquities, Sindh, and Ghulam Muhammad, Minister for Tourism, Sports & Culture, Gilgit-Baltistan. Senior officials from provincial tourism departments and private hospitality companies also joined the event.

WTM London connects more than 180 countries and attracts thousands of participants each year. The exhibition provided Pakistan with a key opportunity to display its cultural heritage, adventure tourism, and natural beauty.

Speaking at the ceremony, Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan said WTM London 2025 gives Pakistan a chance to engage with global tourism leaders.

“This event helps us promote Pakistan’s positive image and connect with international investors and travelers,” he said. “Our goal is to highlight Pakistan’s beauty and build lasting partnerships in the tourism industry.”

Aftab-ur-Rehman Rana, Managing Director of the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC), highlighted the importance of teamwork.

“WTM London is one of the top global tourism events,” he said. “Our joint efforts with provincial departments and private partners ensure Pakistan is promoted as a strong travel destination.”

He added that such collaboration helps enhance Pakistan’s brand image and attract investment in the tourism sector.


🤝 Building Global Tourism Partnerships

Throughout WTM London 2025, the Pakistani delegation held B2B meetings, networking sessions, and media briefings. These interactions helped promote Pakistan tourism and explore new partnerships.

The Pakistan Pavilion displayed high-quality visuals, HD videos, and promotional material. These showcased Pakistan’s cultural diversity, mountain adventures, and hospitality to international audiences.


🌄 Promoting Pakistan as an Emerging Destination

Pakistan’s participation was organized by PTDC with support from GBTD, STDC, TDCP, and private tourism companies. This collaboration demonstrates Pakistan’s commitment to boosting tourism visibility worldwide.

By participating in WTM London 2025, Pakistan aims to strengthen its reputation as an emerging travel destination. The event highlights Pakistan’s scenic beauty, ancient culture, and growing hospitality industry to a global audience.
