ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Sunday released the updated petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan for the next fortnight, effective from 16 September 2025.
According to the Ministry of Finance notification, the petrol price will remain unchanged at Rs264.61 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs2.78, reaching Rs272.77 per litre compared to the previous rate of Rs269.99.
Meanwhile, the government announced a reduction in other fuel categories. The price of kerosene oil has been slashed by Rs7.19 per litre, bringing it down to Rs178.27. Similarly, light diesel oil (LDO) has been reduced by Rs8.20, now priced at Rs162.37 per litre.

Earlier, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had also revised the LPG prices for September 2025. The price was reduced by Rs1.17 per kg, bringing it down to Rs214.2 per kg. Consequently, the domestic LPG cylinder (11.8 kg) price has been reduced by Rs14.36, now costing Rs2,527 instead of Rs2,541.36.
The latest adjustments reflect changes in international oil markets and aim to provide relief to Pakistani consumers facing inflationary pressures.
