SHIKARPUR: Sindh Excise Minister Mukesh Kumar Chawla convened a meeting at the office of Deputy Commissioner Raheem Bakhsh Maitlo to review the flood situation and ongoing rescue operations in the district.
According to the Sindh Information Department, the meeting focused on arrangements concerning various dams and rescue measures being implemented to safeguard residents from rising water levels.
The minister was briefed on the coordinated efforts of Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Army, Rangers, and district administration personnel, who are actively monitoring the flood situation around the clock.
Authorities emphasized that all departments are on high alert to ensure timely evacuation, relief distribution, and protection of vulnerable areas.
The Sindh government reiterated its commitment to strengthening coordination between civil and military institutions to manage the crisis effectively and minimize the impact on local communities.
