WhatsApp just made talking across languages way easier.
Meta Platforms has introduced a new translation feature for WhatsApp, designed to make cross-language chats seamless for its 3 billion users.
The feature supports six languages on Android and 19 on iPhones, with more to come soon.
Meta confirmed that translations are processed directly on users’ devices to protect privacy. Users can simply long-press any message and tap “Translate” to view it in their preferred language.
The feature works in personal chats, groups, and channel updates. Additionally, Android users can enable automatic chat translations so future messages appear in their chosen language by default.
With this update, WhatsApp is making global conversations smoother than ever.
