According to Indian media, police sources said that the arrested attackers who killed Baba Siddique revealed during the investigation that they were given the task of killing Baba Siddique and his son Zeeshan Siddique.
According to the report, the shooters were told that both the father and son would be present at the same place, but if there was no opportunity to attack together, then whoever they got their hands on should be targeted.

It may be noted that Congress MLA Zeeshan Siddique from Bandra area of Mumbai was expelled from the party when he cross-voted in the Legislative Council elections a few months ago.
It should be noted that Baba Siddiqui was shot dead by three armed men outside his son’s office on Saturday night.
The shooters first threw chili powder at the police constable who was on security duty and then shot dead the senior politician.
The police took timely action and arrested two shooters Gurmeel Baljeet Singh (Haryana) and Dharam Raj Kashyap (Uttar Pradesh), while the third shooter Shiv Kumar Gautam escaped from the spot.
