Lebanon’s resistance movement Hezbollah confirmed the martyrdom of General Secretary Syed Hassan Nasrallah.

However, now Hezbollah has confirmed the martyrdom of its leader Hassan Nasrallah. In a statement released by Hezbollah, it has been said that Hassan Nasrullah was martyred. Who was Hassan Nasrullah?
Hassan Nasrallah was elected Secretary General of Hezbollah in 1992 at the age of 32, after his predecessor Abbas al-Mousavi was assassinated by an Israeli gunship helicopter.
He studied politics and the Qur’an for three years in Najaf, Iraq, where he met Sayyid Abbas Mousavi, the leader of the Lebanese Amal militia. In 1978, Hassan Nasrallah was expelled from Iraq.
Hassan Nasrallah joined the Amal movement after Lebanon was engulfed in civil war, he was appointed as the political representative of the Amal militia in the Bekaa Valley.
After the Israeli army invaded Beirut in 1982, Hassan Nasrallah broke away from Amal and joined Hezbollah.
Hezbollah emerged as the main opposition organization to Israel under the leadership of Hassan Nasrallah, who insists that Israel remains a real threat.
Since Hamas’ October 7 attack on Israel, Hezbollah has been fighting Israeli troops almost daily along the Lebanon-Israel border.
