The new identity is actually shared by two names: Mary Jane Watson and Venom. This is the latest shocking event in the current Venom comic book run. Writer Al Ewing and his team crafted this bizarre circumstance. Specifically, it involves MJ bonding with the alien Symbiote. This creates a powerful, confusing new character.
The Fugitive Disguise Strategy
Venom #251 shows Mary Jane and her new fugitive friend attempting to hide. They conceal the Symbiote’s true identity from authorities. Initially, they posed as other well-known Marvel heroes, such as Iron Man. Venom’s inability to fly quickly ruined that plan. Therefore, MJ and Venom settled on a more suitable disguise. They chose someone possessing similar abilities. They described him as the “gooiest guy” they both knew: Spider-Man.
A Striking New Spider-Man Look
The new Mary Jane Venom Spider-Man costume is not traditional. They do not simply don the classic suit and call it a day. Instead, the pair proudly displays Venom’s signature long tongue. They boast intimidatingly long talons and a bulky frame. Peter Parker has never achieved this powerful build. Although this ensemble may turn heads, it might not be the most effective disguise. Nonetheless, this look could easily go down in history. It represents one of the most striking designs for a “Spider-Man” yet.

The debut of the Mary Jane Venom Spider-Man appears at the end of the recent issue. The next chapter promises more eye-opening adventures for the pair.
