According to sources, Hockey Federation President Tariq Bugti had promised to arrange Abubakar’s treatment during his stay in China.
Similarly, Prime Minister Youth Program Chairman Rana Mashhood also assured assistance through a video call.
However, once Abubakar returned home, no practical steps were taken. The federation claims it lacks funds and says treatment will start once finances are available.

Abubakar wishes to have his surgery abroad for proper rehabilitation and timely recovery.
He cannot afford the expensive treatment himself and remains uncertain whether he will be reimbursed.
Meanwhile, Hockey Federation Secretary Rana Mujahid stated that Abubakar’s condition is being monitored. He assured that if required, the player would be sent abroad for treatment.
He also mentioned that a formal letter has been sent to the Prime Minister requesting funds for Abubakar’s surgery. Officials hope for progress soon.
