First Group Arrives in Lahore for Studies
A significant humanitarian initiative has begun. Twenty-seven Palestinian students landed in Pakistan. They arrived in Lahore on Monday via flight. These students will pursue higher education here. They plan to specialize in medical and dental fields. The Palestinian Students Pakistan Education program is a beacon of hope.
High-Profile Reception at the Airport
The students received a warm welcome. Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan officials greeted them. President Dr. Hafeez ur Rehman led the reception. Air Marshal (Retd) Arshad Malik was also present. Prof. Dr. Zahid Latif, Health Services Chairman, attended. Government officials were also there for support.
192 Students Supported by Alkhidmat
Dr. Hafeez ur Rehman shared the scope of the project. This group is part of a much larger mission. A total of 192 Palestinian students will arrive. They will come through various flights scheduled. They will attend different universities across Pakistan. The foundation ensures comprehensive support. This includes providing food and accommodation. Essential educational facilities are also guaranteed.
Wide Cooperation and Global Support
The foundation works with key international partners. These include the Global Relief Trust. Doctors of Rehman are also assisting the project. Dr. Hafeez thanked several key facilitators. He expressed gratitude to the Government of Pakistan. He also thanked the Palestinian Embassy officials. Extensive meetings secured the students’ placement. This Palestinian Students Pakistan Education effort is collaborative.
Ongoing Commitment to Gaza Relief
Alkhidmat Foundation continues its broader aid work. They are actively involved in relief efforts in Gaza. The foundation provides food, shelter, and medical aid. Support is also extended to students in Turkey and Egypt. This initiative provides critical continuity in education.
