WhatsApp Introduces New Control for Unknown Message Requests
WhatsApp has launched a new privacy feature to manage WhatsApp unknown messages more safely. The update helps users avoid unwanted chats.
Messages from Unknown Numbers Will Move to ‘Requests’ Folder
With this feature, messages from unsaved numbers will not appear in your main chat list.
Instead, they will shift to a new Requests folder.
This change improves user privacy and reduces spam messages.
New Option: ‘Who Can Message Me’
Users will see a new setting called Who can message me.
It lets you control who can send messages directly.
If you choose “Everyone”
You will get messages from all numbers, including unknown contacts.
If you choose “My Contacts”
Only saved numbers can message you directly.
All other chats will go to the Requests folder.
This option gives users better control over WhatsApp unknown messages.
How the Requests Folder Works
The Requests folder works like Instagram’s message requests.
Users can open the folder and choose to:
- Reply
- Delete
- Report
- Block the sender
Once you reply, the chat moves to your main list.
This makes handling WhatsApp unknown messages simple and safe.
A Step Forward in User Privacy
This update shows WhatsApp’s strong focus on user safety.
It protects users from spam, scams, and unwanted messages.
The feature also helps keep the chat list clean and organized.
